Састанак амбасадора Саше Марта са амабасадором Бурундија у Преторији

During the cordial and constructive meeting, the two ambassadors exchanged views on opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Burundi, as well as on current political and economic developments on the African continent. Particular attention was given to the possibilities for cooperation within the diplomatic corps in the Republic of South Africa and to the importance of Pretoria as one of the key diplomatic hubs on the continent.
The interlocutors noted that there is considerable potential for strengthening political dialogue and expanding cooperation in several areas of mutual interest, including the economy, agriculture, education, and the exchange of professional expertise.
Ambassador Mart also underlined Serbia’s readiness to further develop partnerships with African countries, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation with states across the African continent.
On this occasion, Ambassador Mart informed Ambassador Bukuru about the preparations of the Republic of Serbia for hosting the Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, expressing his expectation that the Republic of Burundi would also take part in this important international event.
