Meeting of the Board of SKUD “Africa” at the Ambassador’s Residence

At the initiative of the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Mr. Saša Mart, a meeting of the Board of the SKUD “Africa” (SKUD Africa) was held on October 28, 2025, at the Ambassador’s residence — the first such meeting after several years.
The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The attending members of the Board expressed great enthusiasm and satisfaction regarding the renewal of activities of this once central organization of the Serbian diaspora in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Participants agreed that the period of inactivity in previous years should not be an obstacle but rather an incentive to strengthen the spirit of Serbian unity, preserve national traditions, and promote Serbian culture across the African continent.
In his address, Ambassador Mart emphasized that the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia will continue to provide its full support to the activities of SKUD “Africa,” with the aim of reviving it as a gathering point and a hub for the promotion of Serbian culture in the region.
The next meeting of the Board is scheduled for December 1, 2025, when concrete steps and implementation plans will be further discussed.
