Meeting between Ambassador Saša Mart and a Teacher of the Serbian School “Sveti Sava” in South Africa
During the cordial and constructive discussion, topics of importance for preserving the Serbian language, culture, and national identity among members of the Serbian community in South Africa were addressed, with particular focus on the work and activities of the Serbian School “Sveti Sava”, which operates in accordance with the official curriculum of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. Ms. Pavlović-Marinović briefed the Ambassador on current teaching programs, challenges in her work, as well as plans for further improvement of educational and cultural content intended for children of Serbian origin.
Ambassador Mart expressed full support for the school’s work, emphasizing the importance of institutional care for preserving language and tradition in the diaspora, as well as the Embassy’s readiness to continue supporting educational and cultural initiatives of the Serbian community in South Africa, within its capacities.
