Meeting between Ambassador Saša Mart and the Director General of the Botswana National Sports Commission

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of South Africa, Mr Saša Mart, met on February 18, with the Director General of the Botswana National Sports Commission, Mr Olebile Sikwane, to discuss opportunities for enhancing cooperation in the field of sport between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Botswana.
During the cordial and constructive meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of sport as a valuable avenue for strengthening international cooperation and fostering friendly relations between the two countries. Ambassador Mart highlighted that the Republic of Serbia is internationally recognized for its outstanding sporting achievements, highly qualified coaches, and well-developed athlete training systems, which represent a strong foundation for expanding cooperation and exchanging expertise.
Particular attention was given to opportunities for Serbia to support Botswana through the engagement of professional coaches, training programmes, expert exchanges, and institutional cooperation between relevant sports organizations.
Director General Sikwane expressed strong interest in enhancing cooperation with Serbia, underlining the high international reputation of Serbian sport and sports professionals, as well as the importance of knowledge exchange for the continued development of sport in Botswana.
