Meeting between the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Pretoria and the Ambassador of Portugal

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Pretoria Saša Mart, met today with the Ambassador of Portugal to the Republic of South Africa, H.E. Mr. Carlos Costa Neves.
During the meeting, the ambassadors exchanged views on the bilateral relations between Serbia and Portugal, as well as on the possibilities for their further enhancement in areas of mutual interest. Special attention was devoted to strengthening cooperation within the framework of the European Union, and to promoting economic, cultural, and educational ties between the two countries.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of cooperation between both Serbia and Portugal with the Republic of South Africa, as a leading partner in the Sub-Saharan region. The ambassadors agreed that there is significant potential for initiatives aimed at deepening economic and institutional engagement with South Africa, particularly in the fields of trade, energy, innovation, and higher education.
The meeting took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, confirming the mutual commitment to further strengthening relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Portugal, as well as enhancing cooperation with the Republic of South Africa.
