Meeting between the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia and the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland in Pretoria

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of South Africa, Mr. Saša Mart, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland, H.E. Mr. Pekka J. Metso.
During a cordial and substantive discussion, the interlocutors exchanged views on current political and economic developments in the Southern African region, as well as on broader trends across the African continent. Particular attention was paid to the growing interests of European countries in Africa, including in the areas of political stability, security, sustainable development, energy, and economic cooperation.
The ambassadors underlined the importance of a coordinated approach by European partners in relations with African countries, as well as the role of diplomatic missions in promoting dialogue, development initiatives, and multilateral cooperation in the Southern African region.
