Meeting of the Ambassadors of Serbia and Côte d’Ivoire in Pretoria
he Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Pretoria Saša Mart received on November 12, the Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire, H.E. Mr. SEM Sakaria Kone, in a return visit to the Embassy of Serbia in Pretoria.
In a cordial and constructive conversation, the two ambassadors discussed opportunities for further strengthening the relations between Serbia and Côte d’Ivoire, with particular emphasis on enhancing cooperation in the fields of economy, agriculture, and education.
It was underlined that there is considerable potential for establishing concrete partnerships between the business sectors of the two countries, as well as for sharing experiences in agricultural production, agrotechnology, and sustainable rural development.
Special attention was devoted to advancing cooperation in the area of higher education. In this regard, Ambassador Mart highlighted Serbia’s readiness to welcome a greater number of students from Côte d’Ivoire within the framework of scholarship programs offered by the Republic of Serbia to students from African countries. The arrival of Ivorian students in Serbia, it was noted, represents an important contribution to fostering mutual understanding, knowledge exchange, and long-term ties between the two nations.
The interlocutors also emphasized the importance of maintaining regular contacts and cooperation within international organizations, with mutual support on issues of shared interest.
Both ambassadors agreed that there is strong potential for further deepening of relations between Serbia and Côte d’Ivoire and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing efforts aimed at developing overall cooperation and friendship between the two countries and their peoples.
