Meeting of the Ambassador of Serbia with the Ambassador of Burundi

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Pretoria Saša Mart, met  on November 19 with the Ambassador of Burundi, H.E. Alexis Bukuru. During the cordial and substantive exchange, the two ambassadors discussed opportunities for further strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Mart expressed appreciation for Burundi’s interest in and participation related to EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, emphasizing that this global event represents an important platform for fostering new partnerships. He underlined opportunities to deepen cooperation within the dynamic diplomatic and economic environment of South Africa, where both countries maintain an active presence.
Ambassador Bukuru conveyed Burundi’s readiness to explore concrete forms of cooperation with Serbia, recognizing the significant potential for collaboration both bilaterally and in synergy with regional initiatives in South Africa.
The meeting reaffirmed the mutual commitment to intensifying dialogue and developing practical cooperation for the benefit of both countries.
