Ambassador of Serbia visited the University of Cape Town
The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to South Africa, Saša Mart, visited the University of Cape Town on 12 February 2026, where, at the invitation of the Chancellor, Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mosa Moshabela, he attended the traditional diplomatic corps breakfast.
This event is traditionally organized ahead of the annual State of the Nation Address of the President of South Africa and provides an opportunity for an exchange of views between members of the diplomatic corps and the leadership of one of the country’s most distinguished academic institutions.
During the visit, Ambassador Mart held discussions with the University’s leadership and representatives of the diplomatic corps on the role of higher education in fostering social and economic development, as well as on opportunities to enhance cooperation in the field of education and academic exchange.
