Ambassador of Serbia attended the State of the Nation Address of the President of South Africa

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to South Africa, Saša Mart, attended the official opening of the session of the Parliament of South Africa in Cape Town on 12 February 2026, during which the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, delivered the traditional State of the Nation Address.
The President’s address represents one of the most important political events in South Africa, outlining the Government’s priorities and key directions for the country’s political, economic, and social development in the period ahead.
On the margins of the event, Ambassador Mart held a meeting with the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in South Africa, Maxwell Gomera. The discussion focused on current development priorities in South Africa, as well as opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Mart’s participation in this important state occasion reaffirms the strong and friendly relations between Serbia and South Africa, as well as the ongoing dialogue with the host country’s institutions and international organizations.
