Ambassador of Serbia Attended the Launch of the “One Billion Trees” Programme in South Africa

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of South Africa, Saša Mart, attended May 11 at the invitation of the South African Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, the launch of the “One Billion Trees” reforestation programme.
This initiative forms part of the presidential programme launched by President Cyril Ramaphosa, aimed at environmental protection, combating climate change and promoting sustainable development through large-scale tree planting across the country.
The “One Billion Trees” programme brings together representatives of government institutions, the diplomatic corps, the private sector and civil society in a joint effort to contribute to nature conservation and improve the quality of life for future generations.
