Ambassador Sаša Mart meт with the Head of the Department of Education in the South African province of Gauteng

On October14 Ambassador Saša Mart met in the Embassy of Serbia in Pretoria with the Head of the Department of Education in the Gauteng province, Albert Chanee. The meeting was held at the initiative of a representative of the Department of Education, and he was interested in the possibilities of cooperation with the Republic of Serbia, primarily in the field of education and youth sports. He reported that they cover a large network of schools in South Africa, which has over 3,600 schools and about 100,000 teachers, and that there are 60,000 new students every year.
Albert Chanee also informed about the issues that his Department deals with the most, which is the focus on technical education and early childhood development. These are areas in which they could cooperate with the Republic of Serbia in the coming
period.
Ambassador Mart informed him about the EXPO2027 exhibition, which is being held in Serbia and which has the theme of „Play”.
