Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Pretoria Saša Mart met with the Ambassador of Ireland Austin Gormley.
During the meeting, the two Ambassadors held a substantive discussion on advancing bilateral relations between Serbia and Ireland, with particular emphasis on strengthening economic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and innovation. 
Special attention was given to cooperation within the context of South Africa, as a shared diplomatic environment, highlighting the importance of partnerships across the African continent and the role of multilateral engagement in addressing global challenges.
Ambassadors Mart and Gormley also exchanged views on relations between Serbia and the European Union, including enlargement, regional cooperation, and the importance of the EU integration process for the stability and development of the Western Balkans.
Both interlocutors expressed readiness to continue regular communication and to work jointly on concrete steps aimed at further strengthening cooperation between Serbia and Ireland, both bilaterally and within the multilateral framework.
