Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia presented Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Botswana

On 16 July 2026, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of South Africa, with non-resident accreditation to the Republic of Botswana, Mr. Saša Mart, presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Botswana, His Excellency Duma Boko, during a formal ceremony held at the Office of the President in Gaborone.

By presenting his Letters of Credence, Ambassador Mart officially assumed his duties as Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Botswana, reaffirming the friendly relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, President Boko highlighted Serbia's extensive experience in sports development and expressed interest in expanding cooperation through the engagement of Serbian experts across various sporting disciplines in support of youth development and talent cultivation in Botswana.

The President also emphasized Botswana's interest in strengthening economic cooperation with Serbia, encouraging increased Serbian investment and closer collaboration in technology, mining, education, and the exchange of expertise and knowledge.

Ambassador Mart reaffirmed Serbia's commitment to further enhancing its partnership with Botswana, expressing readiness to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest and to contribute to the implementation of concrete bilateral initiatives for the benefit of both countries.
